Robert Avranche is a middle-aged, alcoholic garage owner; who is bored with his life and his marriage, he's having a mid-life
crisis.
One day he is sitting on a train and reflecting on the emptiness of his life. Then suddenly an attractive young woman,
Donatienne, enters the compartment and offers to make love to him. Robert of course accepts but, when the woman leaves the
train afterwards, Robert decides to follow her and he decides that this is definitely the woman for him...
